CERAMIC PLANTERS

Our ceramic planters are crafted from the highest quality terracotta clay and are built to last. Thanks to our specialized painting and high-temperature firing process, their vibrant color and glossy finish are permanent and will not peel or fade over time. Before firing, each planter is coated with a custom-formulated glaze developed by our in-house experts. The planters are then kiln-fired at 3,600°F for nine hours, during which the glaze fuses with the minerals in the clay to form a durable, glass-like surface—commonly referred to as glazed ceramic. After firing, they are slowly cooled inside the kiln for 24 hours to prevent cracking and ensure structural integrity. This meticulous process gives each planter its signature brilliance and exceptional resistance to heat, sunlight, and rain.

Thanks to our manufacturing meticulous process, our planters boast a permanently vibrant color and glossy finish. We proudly back our fiberglass planters with a 5-year extended guarantee on the finish, ensuring the paint won’t fade or peel. Each piece is expertly handcrafted making it exceptionally durable and built to last. Our guarantee covers manufacturing defects and paint issues, provided that the care instructions are properly followed. Our guarantee does not cover breakage or damage to any parts caused by the customer.

Since our planters are handcrafted and manufactured on-demand, we regularly require a production lead time of 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. For wholesale or customized orders we offer palletized by truck deliveries.

All of our flat fiberglass planters larger than 36 inches are reinforced with an extra solid fiberglass band so they won't sag or warp once filled with soil. This band is made of reinforced fiberglass because wooden or metal bands would mark the pot.

All orders are packed and shipped directly from our factory, cross the US border and are shipped via freight carriers from San Diego CA. Our planters are handcrafted and require a production lead time of 4 to 6 weeks for manufacturing and delivery. Our current minimum order quantity is one pallet

Each planter is securely packaged in an individual carton. To protect your planter, we use a combination of heavy-duty cardboard, shrink-wrap, pallets, strapping, and custom-fit packaging materials. Each planter is cushioned and stabilized to match its exact shape, significantly reducing the risk of damage during transit. Thanks to our careful packaging process, over 99% of our deliveries arrive in perfect condition—without chips, cracks, or scratches. FACTORY HISTORY

In 1995, after managing a camper shell company, our founder, Wenceslao Sr., established Fiber Designs, a business dedicated to manufacturing fiberglass race car parts, mannequins, and bathroom sinks. Over the following years, he refined his skills in fiberglass production, and his craftsmanship soon caught the attention of Gainey Ceramics Company. They invited him to design and produce fiberglass containers, marking his first venture into the world of pottery. Wences exceeded the company’s high-quality standards, further solidifying his reputation.

In 1998, he joined Native Earth Products as a partner and served as general manager for 12 years. During this time, he developed deep expertise in clay and ceramic production through hands-on experience. In 2010, after parting ways with the company and briefly considering an acquisition, he decided instead to launch a brand of his own.

That same year, in the midst of a global economic crisis and with limited capital, Garden Outlet was born. Together with his wife, Lulu, and son, Wenceslao Jr., he began the journey of building a family business from the ground up. Through perseverance and dedication, their products gradually gained recognition across both the American and Mexican markets.

We offer a satisfaction guarantee on all non-clearance items. If your ceramic planter or other product does not meet your expectations and is undamaged, you may request a refund or replacement within 48 hours of delivery. Simply contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Over 99% of our shipments arrive safely, and every order is insured. In the rare event that your item is damaged during shipping, we will gladly provide a refund or replacement. Please note: due to the nature of handcrafted ceramic pottery, slight variations are to be expected. Factors such as raw material differences and firing conditions can affect the final result. Glaze colors like Moss, Cream, Cocoa, and Coffee may display more noticeable variation due to naturally unstable components in their formulas.

We pack all orders according to their exact size and weight to ensure the safest delivery at the best possible shipping rate. Any item too large is shipped palletized as a Less Than Truckload (LTL) order. Large shipments are carefully assembled on custom-built pallets or crated by hand.

Hand-Selected Pottery: We always choose the best-looking piece from our inventory. Every item is thoroughly inspected for cracks, blemishes, or imperfections before it leaves our facility.

Tailored Packaging: Based on the size and shape of your item, we select the most suitable packaging—ranging from double-corrugated boxes to wooden crates or pallets. We ensure each piece fits comfortably with room for protective foam.
Protective Foam Lining: Once your item is placed in its container, we insert fresh foam sheets that expand to form a snug, cushioned barrier around the pottery. We double-check for any gaps or loose space to ensure complete stability.
Secure Sealing: Each package is sealed with heavy-duty nylon straps for extra durability during transit.

If your order is too large for standard boxing, we build a custom crate using strong, fresh plywood. Though crate packing takes additional time, the added protection ensures your ceramics arrive in pristine condition.

For oversized shipments that exceed crate capacity, we ship your order on a reinforced wooden pallet. Our team creates a protective enclosure using plywood panels and industrial-grade straps. We then fill any remaining space with foam and clearly label the exterior with “Fragile” stickers for extra visibility and care during transport.

CARING YOUR PLANTERS

Glazed Finish:

To maintain the beauty of your glazed planter, clean it regularly with a soft cloth. If not cleaned periodically, minerals from the soil may accumulate, making them more difficult to remove. For stubborn stains, you can use a mixture of white vinegar diluted in water or WD-40 oil to effectively clean the surface. Keep in mind that certain types of soil and water with higher mineral content may require more frequent cleaning—approximately every two weeks.

Ensure that planters never retain excess water. Always allow water to drain freely through the drain hole. Avoid using stones or heavy objects inside the pot, as excess weight could cause the planter to break.

Stone Finish:

To care for your stone-finish planter, use a paintbrush or plastic brush for regular cleaning. Avoid using cloths, as they can leave fibers behind. A gentle hose jet works wonders for cleaning this type of finish. The stone finish is highly durable and requires minimal upkeep. However, if you prefer a less opaque appearance, you can apply a water-based sealer for added protection.

Do you sell indoor pottery or outdoor pottery?

All of our pottery can be used for indoor or outdoor use. Nothing is “weatherproof,” but our pottery is “weather resistant” and, with proper care is perfectly suited for outside or inside. We offer an extensive range of products that can be used in any environment. If you have a particular project that requires some planning, our team of experts can guide you through the process.

Will my pot have a hole?

Unless a product explicitly states otherwise, all our planters and pots come with a drainage hole. We can drill a drainage hole on the spot if needed or if you’d like to turn one of our other ceramic decorations into a planter. All our drainage holes are one and 3/8th inches.

What Makes Wesceramics Pottery Special?

Our ceramic pots are made from the highest quality terracotta clay. They do not peel off, their color and shine are permanent thanks to the baking and painting process that we give them in our factory. Before putting them in the oven, they are coated with paint formulated by our factory experts, they are placed in an oven heated to 3600 Fahrenheit for 9 hours, there the exterior paint melts with the minerals in the pot to create a crystallized ceramic, for these are also called glazed clay pots and finally they are allowed to cool slowly in the same oven for 24 hours to avoid cracks. It is thanks to this baking process that the paint on each pot obtains its extraordinary shine, resistance to heat, sun and rain.
